Thomas & Company represents clients before the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Ohio Industrial Commission in all districts. In addition, we handle actions filed in each of Ohio county’s Courts of Common Pleas, all twelve of the state’s Appellate Courts, and the Supreme Court of Ohio.

We advise our clients regarding workers’ compensation policies and practices, including investigation of injuries. We are knowledgeable on all hearing issues, including the initial allowance of a claim, the extent of disability, the employer handicap reimbursement, and violations of specific safety requirements.

Our attorneys have significant experience handling Workers’ Compensation administrative hearings ranging from claim allowance, permanent partial and total disability claims, medical benefits and treatment issues, and wage loss. We have had notable success at all administrative hearing levels including those before District Hearing Officers, Staff Hearing Officers, and the Full Commission. Additionally, we have successfully filed and defended actions which have been appealed into the county Common Pleas and Appellate Court systems. Our skilled attorney staff can complete all required forms and filings on behalf of clients and represent clients at hearings and in court for VSSR, mandamus, subrogation and intentional tort claims.
